ADHI S. LUKMAN President ASIAN FOOD & BEVERAGES ALLIANCE (AFBA) MR. ADHI S. LUKMAN was born in 1961, and graduated from IPB (Bogor Agricultural University), Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Food Technology & Human Nutrition in 1984. With experience in various seminars and trainings, both nationally and internationally, Adhi Lukman continues his career in industry, either of food or other industries. Recognized internationally as an authority on the food industry, Adhi Lukman is the current Chairman of GAPMMI, the Indonesian Food & Beverages Association. In 2016, elected as President of AFBA (ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance). In addition to his role with GAPMMI, Adhi Lukman works with several organizations, such as the Chairman of Permanent Committee for Development of Food Industry, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KADIN).
AFIFFUDIN A. Director Scientific and Regulatory Affairs & Food Safety and Quality PT FONTERRA BRANDS, INDONESIA MR. AFIFFUDIN is the current Director of Scientific & Regulatory Affairs - Food Safety and Quality for PT Fonterra Brands Indonesia. Prior to holding this position, he spent 21 years in Nestle, whilst holding various top position includes the Vice President for Regulatory and Scientific Affairs. In Nestle, he was awarded with numerous excellency awards in his field which has proven his expertise. He graduated from Gadjah Mada University in Food Technologist in 1990. Throughout his career, he has involved in various conferences and workshops internationally to promote regulatory and food safety quality.
AZMI ABDUL SAMAD Chief Executive Officer and Founder HALALHUB CONSULTANCY MR. AZMI ABDUL SAMAD is a prominent religious scholar and religious leader in Singapore. He is the CEO and Founder of HalalHub Consultants which have benefited big corporations and communities not only in Singapore but also in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and China. Besides that, he is also the Chairman of Syariah Research and Consultancy Center. Ustaz Azmi is also an award winning leader with awards such as Singapore Industry Icon Award, Top SME Achiever Award and Singapore Preferred Brand Award, to name a few. With his company branching out, Ustaz Azmi helps local and international businesses to obtain their accreditation in Halal status and his opens to sharing his expert experience to the community.
ERGIN BECEREN Secretary General / Managing Director ISLAMIC WORLD ENTREPRENEURS NETWORK (ISWEN) MR. ERGIN BECEREN serves number of organizations at board level on economic and social cooperation & development projects. He has been experienced on strategy, leadership and management on investments, and organizational development by serving multinational organizations in more than 50 countries for the past 15 years. He has a keen interest to entrepreneurship, innovation, youth development, women entrepreneurship, career development, and business development especially in Muslim World. He is one of the founders of “Rizq-e-Halal” project, which serves for empowering the awareness on producing, consuming and earning halal, which is also the motto of Islamic World Entrepreneurs Network (ISWEN). He holds BA and MA degrees in industrial engineering and economics, and writing his PhD thesis in engineering management, where he gives lectures on strategy and management. He continues his academic studies on sociology, where he concentrates on inter cultural cooperation, peace building and community development.
FE JAZZAREEN MOR JAPAR KHAN Chief Executive Officer SMARTHALAL MRS. FE JAZZAREEN has over 20 years of technical management, training, auditing, supply chain and technology, development experience. She has been involved in government-level initiatives including Halal parks, RFID/traceability and human capital development. Fe is a Halal market standards and regulations compliance specialist and serves as DinarStandard’s Malaysia based Senior Associate. Her key achievements include leading PERSIS management in 2013 being awarded Smart Partner by Department of Standard Malaysia for her work on Halal AQL Competency Management Model. In 2016, Fe Jazzareen founded SmartHalal, a knowledge marketplace for the global halal industry. She holds an BSc (Hons) in Applied Science, majoring in Chemistry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), is a certified halal auditor and a translator.
HENDRO POEDJONO Director Public Affairs & Regulatory Affairs FRIESLANDCAMPINA AFRICA MIDDLE EAST ASIA MR. HENDRO HARIJOGI POEDJONO is the Director of Corporate Affairs and a member of the leadership team in FrieslandCampina Asia since September 2012. Concurrently, he holds the position of President of Commissioners for PT Kievit Indonesia since 2007. His achievements at these two FrieslandCampina companies resulted in his appointment as Human Resources and General Affairs Director of PT Friesche Vlag from 1998 to 2003. Following the company’s transformation into PT Frisian Flag Indonesia, Hendro became Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Director, a role in which he held for seven years. DR. KHAIRIL ISMAHAFIZ MUHADZIR Chief Commercial Officer DAGANGHALAL.COM Dr. Khairil Ismahafiz graduated from the University of Central England, Birmingham UK with a First Class Honours in BA (Hons) Business Administration and a Master in Business Administration in 1998. Currently he just completed his doctorate from University of Cambridge early of this year and working with DagangHalal Sdn Bhd as a Chief Commercial Officer.
PROF. DR. MARCO TIEMAN Founder LBB INTERNATIONAL DR. MARCO TIEMAN is the CEO of LBB International, a logistics consulting & research firm focusing on agri-food supply chains, industrial logistics and third party logistics. He is also Adjunct Professor with Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (Malaysia), in charge of research on halal supply chain management. He obtained is MSc in Industrial Engineering (Logistics) from the University of Twente (the Netherlands) and a PhD in Business Management (Halal Supply Chain Management) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia).
DR. MIAN RIAZ Director, Process Engineering R&D Center TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY DR. MIAN NADEEM RIAZ is Director for the Process Engineering R&D Center (Formally Food Protein R&D Center), Graduate Faculty in the Food Science and Technology program at Texas A&M University, USA. Dr. Riaz published five books and one of the books is in the area of Halal food titled “Halal Food Production”. This book has been translated in to Chinese, Persian and Korean languages. He also published 22 chapters in different books including chapters in the area of Halal food related issues. Currently, he is teaching a course on “Religious and Ethnic Food” at Texas A&M University to Food Science and Nutrition majors He has given more than 300 talks in 55 different countries.
DR. MUHAMMAD YANIS MUSDJA Chairman INDONESIAN HALAL PRODUCTS FOUNDATION DR. MUHAMMAD YANIS MUSDJA is the current chairman of the Indonesian Foundation of Halal Food Products. He is also the Secretary General of International Association of Halal Auditors and the Vice Chairman of Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectual, to name a few. He is a lecturer in Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Islamic State University, Jakarta, where his specializations include analysis of Halal foods, HCCP of Food, Pharmacology and toxicology of Food, Drugs and Cosmetics. Dr. Muhammad Yanis is active in speaking in international events to help spreading the awareness and development of Halal in the industry.

NUR MELISSA FERNANDEZ ABDULLAH General Manager, Group Corporate Affairs CHEMICAL COMPANY OF MALAYSIA (CCM) NUR MELISSA joined CCM in 2005 as the Head of Corporate Affairs and continues to helm the position till today. She has 20 years of experience in communications and marketing in the healthcare, agriculture and chemicals industry. She currently oversees Food Industry Asia’s science and regulatory activities and, since October this year, is on full secondment to the ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance (AFBA), as its Executive Director. Dr Siti holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science from Rutgers University, New Jersey and a Master’s in Food Science degree from Michigan State University.
