Vantage Data Centers will extend its operations in Malaysia with a $3bn expansion of its Cyberjaya campus.
Vantage Data Centers, a US-based provider of data centre solutions, plans to invest $3bn in the opening of a new data centre, KUL II, in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The centre will deliver 256MW of capacity.
Vantage Data Centers already has a Cyberjaya project active. Cyberjaya 1 is a two-hectare campus that has four data centres and offers 41MW of critical IT load. The campus is a 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. KUL II will be sited over 14 hectares, next to Cyberjaya 1. When completed it will include ten data centres covering 256,000m².
Vantage Data Centres has operations in its home market of Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, the UK, and the US, as well as Malaysia. The company was founded in 2010 in Santa Clara, California.
