We are happy to share that WAIPA and ESCAP signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at the UN Conference Centre, Bangkok, Thailand to support countries in Asia and the Pacific in developing and implementing policies, promotion and facilitation activities for sustainable foreign direct investment.
The MOA was signed as part of the Inaugural WAIPA - United Nations ESCAP#APAC Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) #FDI & #Investment Conference which was Chaired by Andrew Keable (MD, KW Group & Regional Advisor WAIPA) and keynotes from Kaveh Zahedi (Deputy Executive Secretary, United Nations ESCAP), Deepak Bagla (CEO Invest India & President WAIPA), Ismail Ersahin (CEO WAIPA) and Narit Therdsteerasukdi (Secretary-General, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI).
#IPAs have a critical role not only in promoting #sustainable and facilitating FDI, but also strengthening #innovation ecosystems and #digitization. Sharing successes and supporting best practices are essential for regional growth and #development. The MOA marks a new era of collaboration to enhance the capacity and ecosystems of the APAC region's IPA communities.
